MORE THAN JUST A PARADE!
WHO: All Summit County Republicans and those “questioning” or unhappy with the status quo
WHAT: The Summit County Fair
WHERE: Coalville’s Main Street (parade) and the Summit County Fairgrounds (booth and events)
WHEN: Saturday, August 13th. Parade begins at 10am; booth runs until 8pm.
WHY: To promote Republicans Jack Murphy and Holly McClure for County Council and to discuss primary election results. To speak with local and state level candidates.
Our theme is a nostalgic one entitled, “Remember When…” and we’ll be serving up some good old-fashioned lemonade, playing an “elections” corn hole game, and speaking with candidates at our booth.
Here’s how you can help!
1) Volunteer to walk in the parade and decorate vehicles beforehand (8:30am at the Chevron station, 5 N. Main Street, Coalville). We will have T-shirts for parade walkers with an M&M design (Murphy & McClure). We’ll hand out candy to the kids. We have two Chevy trucks, a ’41 and a ’58, both quite special, committed for the parade.
2) Volunteer to help with the booth, even for an hour or two. We will set up at 8:30am. Jack and Holly are both running to “Restore Balance” to the County Council. Kera Birkeland and Ron Winterton will make a showing; possibly Mike Kohler and Jon Johnson as well.
3) Attend and spread the word to friends, family and neighbors!
